When the midday sun shines through this sequin-covered window, pebbled, iridescent light filters onto the floor, forming a stark contrast with the sharp nails and rusted iron elsewhere on its surface.

Spare parts, ineradicable oil stains, and sequin-covered pillows: these are my memories of family life in a factory compound. Women workers would start the day handling steel and end it exhausted, hugging pillows on their couches.

The sequins on this artwork have been molded in the shape of a shadow, falling through my window, connecting the outside of factory life with the inside of domestic life.
